Managing the Millennial Workforce - Will They Hire You as Their Employer?

In an era where smart phones, tablet computers, and cloud computing have already make an impact to the lives of individuals, and as these technological advances continue to spread within the general population, the needs of individuals will continue to change. Organizations will also need to evolve in order to meet the wants and needs of the group I like to call, “The Millennials,” a digitally experienced, technologically savvy workforce of consumers.

This new and upcoming workforce and consumer base will have grown up with the high speed “always-on” Internet, rich multimedia, and instant communication through chat and text messaging. Millennials, are individuals who prefer group work environments, flat organization hierarchies. For this group of people, teams, environment, and  workplace flexibility are greater motivators than simply salary.

Future hiring won’t be about which candidate YOU will hire, but whether the best candidates from the millennial generation will choose YOU.

Future interviews will be more company auditions, where the candidate will interview YOU and others organizations and choose the one where they feel their skills, talents, and potentials will make a difference.
